Hey guys. I have a little asus eee pc which I have barely used since I got it. But recently I put lubuntu on it and find I will be using it when I start university next month.
Obviously, it's a membrane keyboard with thin little terrible caps.
Im wondering if there is any way to make it....better? Abit more feedback would be great. Even a full replacement would be viable. I managed to make the l/r click buttons better by lifting up the left click with some thin plastic to raise the button. Did something similar to the spacebar to make it easier to press from the left or right side (It sometimes wasn't going down far enough and activating the key)

Start university? In June? Interesting...
Anyway, most people including myself will recommend to just carry an external keyboard. I like TypeMatrix 2030 and Noppoo Choc Mini for that purpose.

Sure, I plugged an external mechanical keyboard into mine :D Unless you need to be very mobile... there are TKL keyboards or 60%.

I'm starting a 6 month university entry course in June.
The course is run in the university itself. Not actually starting the course till 2014.
That's probably a great idea. Never looked at the TypeMatrix before, looks like a good pick.
I actually intend to get a Choc Mini or a Poker (wouldn't be a surprise if I get both lol) in the future, so...sweet!
No idea why I didn't think of this.
Thanks guys.

What for? After all, I use the keyboard on top of the laptop, so USB is always there.
