Title: Mac to Mech
Post by: take on Thu, 23 May 2013, 14:53:02
Hey all.

Somewhat new to GH [I've lurked a few times], but I finally invested in a Corsair K95 to upgrade from my generic iMac keyboard. Needless to say I can't wait until I get that sucker set up here. I've had my eye on a Ducky Shine II for a while now, but no one ever seems to be able to keep the particular one I want in stock so I always miss out. Some day..

Anyway, I look forward to nerding out here. It's always cool to see people who take pride in their rigs. :D

Welcome to geekhack from a fellow Mac user. :)

Just want to echo Aggiejy's comment. I too am an iMac user and have had a blast since switching to mechanical switches back in December. Welcome!

Mac here.
I'm surprised Apple with all their quality and innovative aspects, don't offer at least the OPTION of a quality keyboard. On the older laptops they at least had scissor switches.

Put an ass kicking keyboard with a Mac and be totally hooked up!

Maybe now that Steve Jobs is dead they can do that (since he hated the only mech boards Apple made).

HHKB seems like something Apple would offer for "power users" and programmers.  But they don't. It's quite suitable for a Mac.
