Title: Switches available for Cherry G80-3000?

I have a cherry G80-3000 with blue switches.  I love the board and the large case compared to today's smaller cases.  What switches are available for the Cherry G80-3000?  I would like to have this board with brown's or even red's.  Otherwise, since they switches are board mounted and not plate mounted, which cherry POS board could I find on the cheap to rob some brown or red switches from?  Thanks,

G80-3000 is available with blacks, blues and sometimes clears. It existed with browns, but only in Asia IIRC. For reds, see G80-3494LYCUS. If you want to just replace switches, make ghetto reds (black stem + some lighter spring) instead of buying regular reds. Browns are rather hard to get, maybe salvage an old Compaq MX 11800.

do the black and red share the same stem (color difference only) and only have different springs?

In fact, Browns, Blues and Reds all have the same springs, and I think also Blacks and Clears? Not sure about the last one though.

Nope, springs in MX Clear are quite specific.
