Title: Ok, You know those "White" thick pbts?

It's called Monroe-Bisque people.... gosh, next time I will just assume every reviewer is colorblind.

If you must put it with "white", it'd be close to Monterey white

But, most people's standard idea of "WHITE" it is not...

The whiter- pbt spacebar in the picture is the kbc thin originals.. It is actually blue/purple shifted, also not pure white.

That said, I'm quite ok with this color, very retro

I was very surprised when I opened the box... Excuse the dust

EDIT:

Ok, now we know of the EXISTENCE of Cobalt-white thick PBT, such as the vortex GB that Feng ran a while back.. though no blanks were available.

Nothing wrong with the color itself, just an extremely inaccurate description. :D

Light Cream/tan colors are usually kind-of feminine though, like the curvy regal furniture at the boutiques...

easiest thing that you could do would be PLATING a plastic space bar :D Everything else would require exotic tools. WHICH would cost more than special ordering

well, I'm using plating as a general verb for glue some thin sheet metal to it... Then file and sand. :D

You've been under a rock? None of these "white" description in keyboards are true white. Same with Filco and Leopold cases, they're more like beige. The only keycaps I've seen that are true white are the PBT sets from KBT.

like I says, the pbt from kbt is ALSO not white, it's violet/blue

The imsto caps I have are not truely white. They're an off white or beige.

GH members usually take terribad picrs in variably chaotic lighting, which is why I ask for descriptions, even then... They give terribad desciptions.. :D LOL

ducky thin whites are the same as the kbt whites. violet/blue shifted.

Daylight pictures are the best we can do for now.. but then people mess with their camera settings....

Maybe we could all agree to use AUTO, and daylight..

Image quality or color accuracy isn't too accurate because this is just a screenshot from one of my non-public videos. It's not an original pic from a real camera since I did not take any. But color is relative to white balance of a camcorder/camera and calibration of your monitor anyways

Left we have Vortex Thick PBT. Right we have Imsto Thick PBT.

And yes the Imsto Thick PBT is a warmer off white. Vortex Thick PBT is a bit of pale purple off white. Filco is kind of reddish beige. Not too sure about Leopold. Thermaltake MEKA G1 Combat White is pretty close to pure white though.

But yeah by adding a bit of tint it will make the yellowing from UV/Dirt less obvious, which is smart really. Just sucks for colour matching :P

Your link definitely looks beige to me... but We can never say for sure due to lighting....

But Feng was the one that had the vortex dyesub GB.. and those seem towards cobalt-white as Hyde has posted.
