Title: Questions about Unicomp UK layout.
Post by: ch_123 on Mon, 14 July 2008, 10:05:18
Hello folks,

I was thinking of getting myself a Unicomp keyboard (probably a Spacesaver model) in a UK-style layout. I have two questions to anyone who owns a UK layout Unicomp;

1. Is the layout similar to a regular UK layout keyboard? In particular, does it have the inverted L-shaped enter button?

2. Does anyone have a picture? All the pics I found were of US layouts. (It doesnt neccessarily have to be a Spacesaver but that would be preferable)

Sorry for my n00bish questions, I guess we all have to start somewhere :)

Thanks,
CH

That's the Customizer 102. Imagine Windows keys and a shorter spacebar, and you've got the Customizer 105/SpaceSaver 105/EnduraPro 105 layout. :)

Excellent. Thank you very much. I havent quite decided whether I prefer the Spacesaver or the Customizer. Does the latter have any advantages over the former other than retro charm? If not, I'd settle with the smaller sized unit :)

Internally, the Customizer 105 and SpaceSaver 105 are the same exact keyboard, just with different plastic shells.

(The Customizer 102, obviously, doesn't have the Windows keys.)
