With all the emulators out there, I still find myself preferring the real thing:

and the rest of my games:

i don't, those controllers are teri-bad for ergonomics, which we can easily experience by playing with a psp/vita/ds, square and oval=handcramps. xbox360/ps3/wii-nunchuck-(or control pad) are great controllers, my favorite are the ps3 and wii controller pad. Don't get me started on the wii-u, as far as i can see unless final fantasy "everything" is a wii-u exclusive i'm not buying that garbage.

The real deal is always better than Emu's. Currently I am the proud father of a 360, PS3, N64, SNES, Atari 7800, Sega Saturn, Dreamcast, Sega Nomad, Sega Genesis V2, 3DX, Sega CD, Neo Geo Pocket Color, Nintendo DS, Gameboy Pocket Color, Gameboy Advence, Wonderswan, 3D0 Goldstar, and my piece de resistance a Neo Geo AES system. I absolutely adore retro gaming, specificly the '90s. Most of these guys are packed away in boxes because I don't have the space for a badass CRT retro setup in my apartment, and many of these systems don't even have S-Video input so I can't hook them up to my flatscreen. Someday I will build a lair... someday.

That's ****ing cool, hope it comes to the EU soon!
And yeah I don't have any classic consoles (bar a psx and n64) because I wasn't a console gamer back then... But I would really love a segaCD to play a real copy of Snatcher on

Console roll call? Aight.
I'm a member of http://www.racketboy.com/ (http://www.racketboy.com/) though I don't frequent as much as I used to. My current video game console collection consists of:
Sega Master System, NES, Gameboy, Genesis (a few versions), Sega CD, Nomad, SNES, Virtual Boy, Nintendo 64, Playstation, Saturn, Dreamcast, PS2, Xbox360
My next new system will most likely be a PS3 so I can get my hands on Journey and few other PSN games but mainly the HD Ico, SotC remake and Trico
Just picked up an Everdrive 64, this thing is awesome! But now I want one for all my cartridge based consoles :p

Oops! I forgot about Pong...
Sears Tele-Games Pong Sports IV

Oh yeah...? Well I have one of THESE! Plays Altered Beast, and that's all that matters.

But seriously, I would love to collect retro consoles. Maybe once I'm done with keyboards, that may be my next stop.

Does anyone else love the original huge Xbox controllers? I friggin' love those things.
But I also love the little rectangle NES controllers. :D

I still think the rectangle NES controller is one of the best. I like the feel of the old Xbox controllers, but they are just too heavy. The NES has almost no weight, yet feels indestructible. Playing old games on an emulator with the current xbox controller feels odd.
I a super jealous of yours and noisyturtles collections. I still wish I had my Gamecube that I gave my daughter so I could play some Windwaker, Paper Mario, and Metroid prime.
-
I loved the Duke, jd. I still remember the day I got my Xbox. And I have no problems with NES controllers either.
-
So... has anyway tried putting Omrons or similar style mouse switches in any of their controllers yet? ;)

NES, SNES and N64 @ Old-TV
I also got a PS2, PS3 and a Wii. But they are attached to my normal LED-TV. And a lot of GameBoys :)

Here's a picture of an old GameStop haul (they were liquidating all Game Boy / GBC stuff, and that was how I got started on my old eBay classic game venture). We would clean the games up (GooGone for the stickers, and we would open the games up and clean the contacts with magic erasers, then test them. I soldered new save batteries in if they were dead, usually only happened with GBC Pokemon games because of the clock).
This particular haul was from a ****load of GameStops in New Jersey, the road trip from northern VA was totally worth it! The haul after this one was the best though, we figured out to call GameStops ahead of time, and bug them to get the GameBoy games out of the back and be prepared for us. The best single store literally had BRICKS of Pokemon games taped together!
Good times, I miss being my own boss most of all!

Good eye!

yeah it was all resold, a buddy and I used to sell classic games on eBay before too many people realized that old stuff isn't always junk (Thanks Pawn Stars, Storage Wars, etc. lol). And it's actually a brindle pit bull, my brother's dog!

That's pretty cool except it really needs to have 2nd player retro controller inputs as well, then it would be amazing.

Been building that collection for over 20 years, sir. Most were bought new, or are replacements for ones that were bought new and later sold or lost.
