Title: Image attachment problem
Post by: TheSoulhunter on Wed, 05 June 2013, 23:46:10
It seems that uploaded images get re-compressed to reduce filesize, correct?
But in this process the color profile seems to get f#cked up...

Notice the lower contrast (ie. blacks are less dark) and saturation (the green is less green)

Nope.  Image attachments and avatars needs some serious attention.  It's not supposed to be re-encoding for some of these cases, but the forum does it anyway.  That area is a bit of mess.
