Title: [IC] PRO Sticker Ver. 1.0 [Not happening]

Hey guys,

Looking at things like the Phantom and GH60 sticker, I've always wanted a sticker that can be applied to ANY keyboard, just to show some mechanical switch pride!

I am still waiting on whether or not this Ver. 1.0 is feasible, but I will be drafting future versions if needed. For now, I just want to check what the interest is on SOMETHING like this. Also, due to me moving soon [I havent even picked a place yet] I don't think I can handle the shipping yet. So I'm looking for somebody to step up unless I get situated in time.

Not sure that I'd use it on a keyboard, but I really like the design. I know I'd buy one regardless.  :p

It's an interesting design. I don't get the "for pro"-part, but I would probably get a couple just because they are different.

Haha, yes it is a bit strange, but thats kind of what I like about it.

FOR PRO is Engrish found on the Pentel Graph 1000, my favorite mechanical pencil. You can find it in the OP for the inspiration link.
I only have two main writing utencils, the pentel and my keyboard.

Engrish has always had some kind of charm to me, just like Vortex's "Enjoy Your Feeling." It might be weird, but my aim is to emulate that. :P

Also, guys, please let me know whether you want the GH or non-GH version :]

If I were to buy one (which I cannot guarantee) I would want the geekhack one. The design's really nice (do you do graphic design for a job?) and I like the engrish. I just don't know whether I'd have a use for the sticker.

Which also reminded me. Wouldn't the no-gh edition one say Mech keyboard for pro keyboard?

LOL yes. I am open to suggestions of course.

Many times things will be labeled in both languages like this button on the Leopold website: (http://www.leopold.co.kr/cart/skin01/category_img/10.gif)

It's still kind of awkward in the non-online sense,  but many times Engrish will be accompanied by the native language.

Prototype might be here sometime late next week. Not sure, but last time I went with this vendor he had a pretty good turnaround time. Thanks for your interest!

Unfortunately, there hasn't been much interest in this. If I get more interest, then maybe I will place an order. I have also found out that the stickers [given lots of detail and small size] can only printed on clear vinyl, so it doesn't look as good as a "true" laser cut sticker.

The sticker would be made in the same process as this one.

That was my experience as well in trying to brand the encoders my company makes. Then I found Shadovved's metallic stickers and was blown away by how much more detail we could do. Most vinyl companies we talked to wouldn't do the logo given it's size and ALL of the vinyl companies passed on the company name -- they said it was too small.

In the picture below, we're using a metallic sticker for the company name and vinyl for the logo:

Thank you for the interest and the suggestion Mashby.

Shadovved was actually my first choice, and we've talked about it. Sadly, my designs are just too small for him.

As far as future plans go, I am thinking about simpler designs or possibly larger format [maybe for something like a keyboard roof]. In other news Bunnylake has also asked me to help with possible future t-shirt designs.

But as for this sticker, I will lock this thread sometime next month if there is no significant interest jump.
