Title: [question] VESA MIS stand and conversion kit
Post by: davkol on Mon, 10 June 2013, 05:12:31
Long story short, I have a HP L1950g monitor stand (100mm VESA MIS), but can't use it with a 22" LCD w/ 75mm VESA MIS support without modifying the stand (and unfortunately, I don't have time for that these days). The only easy-to-get solution appears to be the Ergotron Conversion Kit (http://www.amazon.com/Ergotron-60-254-007-Ergotrton-Conversion-Kit/dp/B000EN3VK4/). However, they want $20 for just a $#@!ing piece of metal! O_o Yeah, sure... we're dealing with Ergotron.

Right after that, I found the Ergotron Quick Release Bracket (http://www.amazon.com/Ergotron-Quick-Release-Bracket-60-589-060/dp/B000W0ETD2/). Not only it costs $5 less that the conversion kit, but it seems it could be used for the same purpose—with some additional functionality....

Am I missing something?
