Yo guys!
So i have a qfr blues and i love it. I am going to buy a second keyboard, poker ii or ducky mini (both 60), and this will be strictly used for typing.
The only qualm I have before pulling the trigger is the switch type. I don't want blues because i already have one, unless there is a significant difference between qfr blues and ducky/poker blues. I was leaning towards reds as they are light and seem easy to type with.
Yes, i have already researched a bit but everyone has something different to say. So my question is, which switch color should i get for straight up typing? i touch type 80 wpm

Every board makes the switches feel different. My Filco feels different from my Leopold and they both have Blues. Many people have said they do not like Red and Black switches for typing. Per usual, its just personal preference.

Alright thanks. if there is a difference, i might as well just go with blues since i really like them. what kind of differences are there between different blues?
-
I tried everything for typing and went back to blues. If you are going to experiment with anything else, I'd suggest trying browns or modding ergo-clears. I dislike reds for typing as I tend to bottom out too often.

Buckling springs for touch typing.
Model M is OK but there is nothing like a Model F.
But, those jailhouse blues are pretty amazing if you are into Cherries already!

I highly recommend you consider an ergodox.
The staggered layout on standard qwerty boards is fundamentally flawed and not ergonomic.
If you at all care about your hand, wrist and shoulders, one should really make the switch.
As our lives become more and more inseparable from machines, this is quite an improvement that people should invest in.

As far as Cherry switches are concerned, you kinda already have the color most people consider the "best" for typing. I would check out browns for your next board, or maybe Topre.

May I know where you can find a Ducky mini for 60 with blue switches?! D: Sorry, kind of a novice haha
-
There's a reason everyone has something different to say, it's almost all opinion. Just try some out at a store like micro center.
I have a poker one and it's pretty good, and I hear good things about ducky, so either should be fine.
If you would be willing to try a new layout and can solder, theres another round of ergodox on massdrop right now.

Probably at all good keyboard retailers, once they have been released.
