Title: TriangleSquare on ebay is crooked avoid the M15
Post by: didjamatic on Thu, 13 June 2013, 13:11:46
Crooked seller alert.
TriangleSquare on ebay is a crook.  I'm not the first person he's screwed over either.

I picked it up this IBM M15 (Lexmark) with numpad for an unbelievably low price of $51 free shipping.  Then the seller refused to send it out, ignored every email and only refunded after escalation with ebay.  What a dbag.

Was this the same guy who sold an M15 with numpad in better shape for really cheap as well?

If so, wonder if he did the same thing to the other buyer.

Sorry to hear you deal with that crap didja, I was sad I missed out on those deals....guess I was lucky in the end.

I got the other one. Not too worried though, I'll just escalate the case and get a refund if seller doesn't respond.

Has he said anything since you won?

I opened a case with ebay and he responded once saying it was shipped and he'd get back to me with a tracking number. That was a week ago and since then nothing lol. I bid on it knowing his negative feedback as seller which is why I think not a lot of people bid on it. But whatever, ebay buyer protection ftw

Hope he did at least ship yours. Such a shame to not get those boards.

I highly doubt it. Nothing takes longer than 2 weeks to ship from Massachusetts to California. But if I do get it I'll be posting pics.

To jump tracks with the thread a bit, if you are selling on ebay you should never start the bidding at less than you would realistically accept for the item, including shipping or whatever.

Ebay wants you to start everything at $0.01 so that somebody might conceivably get a monster bargain, but I have sold things at "giveaway" prices and it really hurts to ship something out that you would now want to keep.

Start at a "floor" price you are comfortable (not necessarily happy) with, and see what happens. If there is only 1 bid, that is what you will have to accept.

Unless you are a scumbag, of course.
