Very cool! Too bad you couldn't fit on the corresponding caps on top.

I'm curious. Is this just a wired mod, meaning the two keys that compose the Enter still remain separate, though they perform the same function? Or will you be finding a big ass enter to go in that place? If the first, why not just use AHK?
-
Yeah, you can press either key to perform the same function. I didn't think AutoHotKey would work because the keys I duplicated to didn't register as anything in Windows before I rewired them. They're just dummy keys unless you install a Japanese language pack or keyboard drivers I think.
-
Ah, that makes sense. Thanks! Pretty cool. Does it feel weird typing on it like that?
-
It feels ok to me. But I tend to hit the space bar in the center, and the backspace/enter/shift near the left edge anyways. I can imagine it could be weird for someone that hits their backspace/enter/shift near the center, they might end up pressing both keys at once. But it still only registers once when you press both, so no big deal.

really fascinating
but khang, while looking at a list of keycodes, I saw a bunch labelled 'reserved for kanji'. problem is I saw the list while researching keycodes and gave no second thought, so I can't find it for you again. BUt these guys are standard 3-digit keycodes so maybe you can remap them on ahk

No worries if you can't find it. I bought this keyboard for the domes and was planning to sell it anyways. I just did the rewiring as a project to give people an idea that it can be done this way pretty easily.
