Brand new but he took it apart?
-
Maybe it's so new they couldn't even finish assembling it.
-
He took it apart to show that the board is in good shape. Only 5 missing rivets. The guys is from GH
-
Note to seller: If I'm buying something new, keep your hands off meh innards and meh rivets. If it doesn't work when I get it, it's automatically your fault. Ty.

That is a truly beautiful item.
I think it will easily bring $300-400, maybe even $500-600, but not from me.
I can hardly remember a pre-1989 (heavy-duty hardware) model up for sale.
-
but does it have a Mandolin Crystal? ;)

I'm a little surprised it's not a brass colored plate.

Does that double the price automagically?

^-^ quadruple it.

Easily hit over $300 but the disemboweling of the keyboard isn't a good turn. Because some may not like the separation of plate from the casing just to show everyone. You only take it apart to fix or clean the thing, because the casing isn't designed for multiple "un-screwings" ;D .
Pity I no longer am that interested in Model-M's anymore.
-
$182.50... With 5 days left.
My Over/Under = $350.005

I have a brand new industrial M13 just sitting in its box. Would be interested to see where this one ends up.

I wonder how far would my trackpoint go?
-
I've never understood the draw of the industrial models.

The color is wicked bad, and will not peel off like paint.

The color is the very thing I'm not crazy about, but that's just me.

The color looks much better in real life than in photos.

1 day left and already past $250.
-
that thing will reach close to $500

That would seem to be far out of line with the last four 1390653 keyboards sold on Ebay:
Aug 18, 2012 1390653 black label (19FEB87) $237.50 + $14.75

May 25, 2013 1390653 black label (02DEC88) $325.00 + $15.00

Is there some aspect of this current keyboard that would increase it's value? (Ease of disassembly, perhaps?)
-
its new old stock with original packaging, you wait and see, if not 500 then 400 more likely.
-
ha!!!! 3+ hours to go and the board currently is at $415 bid..... jeesh I knew it was going to hit around $500..........
-
The funny thing about this is that it's nice as a collector's item, and looks cool, but the internals are the same as any other model M of the era. I guess it gives good bragging rights to have it though.
-
Is that really the original packing material? Seems like boxes frequently have labels on the end panels. I have seen one industrial with original packing material, and that box was labelled, 'Industrial Keyboard"
-
not all boxes were same back then, they varied from white ones with IBM logo on them, then mix of blue and white on the boxes.... The only way you know if the box is part of it by looking at the production sticker having to match with the sticker behind the board.
-
$420 blazeit
-
I guess they weren't enough pushers to take it up to 500....
-
$420 blazeit
I hope you bought it
