Hi there everyone. I just purchased a Keycool84 from mechanicalkeyboards.com and while the quality seems to be pretty good, the only way to get the numpad working is FN+numlock. Fr some reason I was under the impression that FN+numkeys would do it sort of like holding shift for caps.
Usually when I use numkeys, it's just a zero or a period here and there so stretching my hand to turn on numlock, pressing zero, then turning it off is not an ideal process. Does anyone know a better way or a way to hack the firmware? Should I just send the board back?

As far as I've ever known, the internal numpad on all TKL boards is a full toggle, not internal Fn+n keypresses. The Fn key is only recognized within the keyboard as it itself sends no scan code.

I just bought one of these. I was under the impression that FN was toggle.

I wouldn't mind if the toggle wasn't such a stretch to get to. I guess I'm still looking for a keyboard then. I appreciate the replies.

I did a reg hack that makes the CapsLock into a NumLock. Problem solved!

Oops, the top row 3 key sticks and it's the switch. I may have to write a review about my experience. It's too bad cause I'm really enjoying the layout.
