Hey guys, i am going to get a Ducky shine II or i will probably end up buying the Ducky shine III. I just had a couple questions, whats the difference between a Ducky shine II and a ducky shine Year of the Dragon Edition? They look practically the same but the Year of the dragon has like a symbol on it but other than that whats the diffrence? The ducky shine III is coming out it going to have diffrent lighting modes but whats the diffrence between that one and the Year of the Snake edition? Will it have diffrent backlighting features? Because the Year of the Dragon is like 35$ more than a shine II? Can anyone please clear this up for me? Thanks for taking your times and reading this.

We're still learning about the differences as neither model is 100% ready for production. YOTD will have fancier features, I think a camo case/camo green caps were an option, as well as the dragon'd spacebar. LED features will likely be very similar to the normal Shine IIIs.

YoTD was a limited run for, obviously, the Year of The Dragon.
It was available in a limited (4) number of combinations of switches and LED backlighting.
It had unique replacement FGHJ keys (with 2012 on them), and a couple of additional backlighting modes.
Plus a unique replacement Esc key (I think it was inscribed with a dragon's breath, something like that).
Each board was numbered.

oh I thought he was talking about the Year of the Snake, not Dragon which was 2012...

Huh, interesting. I'd be really interested in a YotS keyboard as long as they offer it in something other than that camouflage scheme. I was actually kind of upset when I saw the reveal at Computex, it just doesn't appeal to me.
Oh well, I'll probably end up buying something else by then, and not want to spend the money lol.
