Was hype a few years back and some company was selling these by the pint or something for a ridiculous price I think.

Pretty cool stuff.

the problem with keyboards is not that it has too many large cavities, where pools of liquid would collect.

So with Water, this may work alrite, but anything thick would collect in those cavities..

I have only spilled something on my keyboard once in my entire life, and it did not break it. So for me, it is not really a very important feature.

chocolate syrup, cola, jam, mustard...

versus white cloth...

No indication of incident.

What sorcery is this?

If that stuff passes the chili and spaghetti sauce tests as well, i will be convinced that the laws of physics have changed.

On the other hand, i bet it would suck to wear a shirt that can't breathe, and is basically a plastic bag around your body... which allows you to seem like you're "just wearing a shirt."

Assuming a properly treated keyboard, with this stuff, you could spill an entire bottle of chocolate syrup into your keyboard, and all you would have to do is open it up and pour it out. Maybe rinse it a little or something, to be sure you got it all, but it would be fine. You could fill your case with mustard and not even worry. That's just amazing.

We should treat eyewear and windshields with this stuff.

From what I read this product is different from other waterproof sealants. It still retains the breathability? of fabric. But not 100% sure, I remember reading an article somewhere.
