Hawaii. I always thought all the nice paradise pictures you see online were edited or touched up to make the photos look nice, but it's exactly like in real life.

Exactly this. I hope to go back one day.
Hawaii for me also. Went with a friend, for free, got off the plane, took a taxi and immediately rented two Harleys ($119 per day). Cruised the big insland in style for four days. Was awesome. I think the laid back attitudes was the best part.

LOL your list has some of the places that I hate most. I don't like Vegas because the technology sector here sucks and that's what I do for a living, I want to move back to California but my wife likes it here. I don't like Miami because it reminded me of a tropical Vegas, which makes sense considering I was there working on a project for a Vegas hospitality industry client expanding out there. Driving around in Washington DC is just retarded if you are used to cities designed in a grid pattern. Seriously, one way roundabouts EVERYWHERE that change direction depending on the time of the day? I'd rather sit at a stop light. A DC local told me that the roads were originally designed to be confusing on purpose in case we ever got invaded, so I guess job well done. Colorado seems like it would be a cool place to do some outdoor activities, and I hear they have some of the best crab in the country in Charleston, so I would probably agree with you there. You should stop by Vegas this weekend, the weather will be nice. The forecast says 117 degrees, but depending on where you are in the city it gets hotter. LOL at least I don't live in Arizona where they get into the 120s. I remember coming back to 115 degree weather from 125 in Lake Havasu, and feeling glad about the "cooler" weather.
Favorite places I have been:
Pretty much any major city in California in or around the San Francisco, Los Angeles, San Diego, and Sacramento metro areas.
Palawan, Philippines
Negril, Jamaica
Freetown Liberia
At home? I mean it, I love to be at home with my beloved ones. I have visited awesome places, but any time to return back home is the best part.

Radio officer on U.S. merchant tanker ships from 1987 to 1995. We loaded diesel and jet fuel in Geelong, Australia and discharged at McMurdo Base in Antarctica. That's how I knocked out 2 continents right there. Also Sasebo, Japan, Yokuska, Japan, Singapore about 10 times, trough the panama canal about 20 times. Cartahena, Columbia, Mollendo, Peru, Lima, Peru, Buenos Aires, Argentina, Malta, Sardenia, Donge, France, Fujirah, UAE, Bahrain, Banana, Zaire on the Congo River, Djibouti.

I loved the rain in the NW. I spent 5 years in Seattle off and on, and the rain didn't bother me a bit. It was all you kind of whacky liberals that I didn't really affiliate with that I didn't like. And Seattle deserves their reputation for being stone cold unfriendly.

I enjoyed my time in So Cal but I don't think I could live there.
Lived in Hawaii for almost four years and while it was nice at first I was glad to get off the islands. Cost of living, as mentioned previously, is insane. I got bored driving around seeing the same things over and over. However, I use some of the less "touristy" beaches in Hawaii as the standard to compare all other beaches that I visit since then.
I've frequented a bunch of the islands in the Caribbean. St. Martin and St. Barts stand out in my mind but that's from a purely flying perspective.
Enjoyed Ireland the couple times I've been through there and would like to go back and have more time to explore. Same with Germany.
I was born on Okinawa and that's also on my to-do list to revisit, along with mainland Japan.
Kuwait was interesting and the place I've been that I have no desire to go back to is Iraq.
Did you go to all the islands in Hawaii? I wonder which one has the best beaches?

Have you ever been to Hawaii? I have a vacation house there and the weather is great. It's the about same temperature all year long. There is only about a 5 to 10 degrees difference between the summers (75 to 85) and winters (65 to 80) there. The southern part of the United States is much hotter than Hawaii most of the time.
I'm happy to see that none of you are judging your favorite place by how hot the hookers were there.

It depends... I need less than 20 °C, especially at night, and when it's more than 25 °C I turn into zombie mode. I suspect there's higher humidity as well. -_-

Who doesn't have an air conditioner though? And it's usually around 65 to 70 at night. It is pretty humid, but I live in NYC, so it's not a big deal to me. The humidity is about the same at both places because they are both islands.

There are tons of hot hookers here in Vegas, but also plenty of ugly ones. Depends on your budget LOL. Why bother though? If you aren't super ugly, and have any kind of game, there are plenty of females out there who will boink you for free.

With this kind of "logic", you can just move to Siberia. They probably have some sort of heating nowadays.

I'm for it during the summer. I much rather be in Hawaii at 80 to 85 maximum during the day than at New York City with 90s to 100s during the day. Hawaii is cooler than most of the United States during the summer (expect for Alaska).
My father traveled to Puerto Ayora and the main hotel there didn't have AC in most of the rooms, and the ones that did were extremely difficult to book.

French countryside in Brittany to NormandyYes, Brittany and Normandy are excellent, I like the channel islands slightly more due to the Anglophone culture and preference for islands in general.
