Title: [FS] Realforce 55g AE 87U

I've decided I want to grab another ErgoDox, but can't afford it at the moment, so I've decided to sell my 55g AE 87U to come up with the funds. Don't worry, I'm not abandoning Topre, I still have my 660C and my white 55g :-P

(Yeah, that's tape on the space bar).

Includes lavender WASD and red escape key as well as Topre keypuller, as well as original box.

Asking $280 shipped CONUS (will consider intl if buyer covers shipping).

PS: If this doesn't sell by the time Round 3 ends I'll be taking it down (3 days).

hey Daerid

looking at the tape on the space bar, I'm wondering: does it work? I would also like to prevent my space bar shining, but I'm also concerned about the sticky residue. My limited experience with scotch tape suggests sticky residue tends to leak out from the edges and eventually it gets very sticky, nasty, accumulates gunk and can't be cleaned off.

Do you have some magical formula to make scotch tape work?

Generally speaking, rubbing alcohol does a good job at removing adhesives. And, as far as I know, it's completely safe on keycaps.

Good call for the ABS space bar. Will slap a strip on my 87u.

Edit: there is this semi translucent tape they use for bandages I might try.

 No Chemicals needed. Peel off the tape. Hold it down firmly, cotton cloth, rub away gently as to cause little friction. It will come away into the cloth.

I still firmly believe that the 55g Topre switch is the best ever made. However, after getting accustomed to my ErgoDox I firmbly believe that the staggered qwerty layout is horrendously malformed and uncomfortable.
