Sup party people
I'm trying to search for the terms "O Rings" but it doesn't show any results :(
Therefor might as well open a thread.
Please people, tell me the difference between different O Rings, what are they used for, and if possible, links to additional threads for reading.
As far as i know they are used to remove clicky sounds and that's pretty much all i know.
Oh and, where can i buy some O Rings? Can i order some on the internet or get some in a shop? I'm in Montreal so i guess it's possible to find some in here. I'll try some if it's worth it.
Thanks people i'll wait for your replies!

My thoughts on o-rings and soft landing pads can be found here (http://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=40227.0).

Thanks mate that's appreciated.

I have tried o-rings and I find that the typing feel is quite mushy. I don't like that, it resembles rubber dome again, and I miss the clicky sounds.
So I put up with the sound and remove all o-rings.

I use the smallest size o-ring you can get from WASD (40A-L?) with MX blacks on my QFR. I quite like them. I don't feel Mich of a difference, and the keyboard is now much quieter. I'm probably going to use the extras for my miniLA.

I also use the "smallest" from WASD. To me it does not feel like it makes the keyboard feel mushy. There is still the same feedback from the switch when you press a key. The change is that the travel is reduced a bit which I personally like, and there is a different feel and sound when bottoming out. It does feel a lot softer when bottoming out, but it does not feel "mushy" in that rubber-dome way. The feel when bottoming out is quite springy (it is a word) and clean. Though I will say that it took some getting used to, and 5 minutes in I was thinking about taking them off. I am glad I did not.
