Title: Microsoft Wedge may be the work of satan for mechheads but...
Post by: loiphin on Fri, 05 July 2013, 13:39:04
So I have a bunch of mechanical keyboards and they are all great, but was looking for a compact bluetooth keyboard to knock out emails on ipad, or speedy messaging conversations on my iphone. So I settled on a Microsoft Wedge Keyboard. I liked the look of it and the reviews I read seem to recommend it, even for iDevices.

I got it today and I must say its really nice to type on, despite its small size. I have large hands and normally manage about 80wpm max. But I could still type that without any problems, after just a few minutes. Really impressed!

The funny thing about Microsoft's small keyboards are most if not all of them have standard IBM spacing. Even the Microsoft Type/Touch Cover has standard IBM spacing. It is much easier to type on than most netbooks that are made today.

Also have a Microsoft Wedge, to use it with my Iphone 4. I have to say, I find this keyboard really a joy to use. Typing on it is very 'natural' and easy. Interesting about your comment, about IBM spacing. I think IBM spacing is really best..
By the way, I find this MS Wedge give a sharper and more pronounced feedback than my Lenovo thinkpad scissor switch. Really suprised by this MS kb!
