Title: Keycool 87 NKRO toggle questions
Post by: nightsnack on Mon, 08 July 2013, 11:51:02
Hi, I'm thinking of getting a Keycool 87 for use with a Mac, and have a few questions about its NKRO feature, since that won't work on OS X.

1. I understand it has a toggle for NKRO using one of the Fn keys, can anyone confirm that?
2. If the default state of the Fn key is for NKRO to be turned on, how do you turn it off to work with OS X since it won't work when plugged in to the Mac?
3. Does the NKRO state remain turned off, or will it turn on again once you unplug and plug in the keyboard?

Will appreciate any help from Keycool users, thanks.

I have no idea about the specific questions, but I just plugged mine into my Mac and it Just Worked.

I also took it to work and plugged it into a Windows machine, and it also worked (after Windows had rebooted).

Ah, great. Thanks for trying it out. My Ducky 9008G2 has NKRO over USB, and is one of the older models so you can't turn that off. It doesn't work with my mac. Was worried that the same would be true of the Keycool.

I have also used a Ducky Shine (version 1) and a QFR with my Mac - all worked!
