$260 is probably in the ballpark for an SSK in really great condition, but I think it will sit for a while. There were several last week that went for under $200.

Yeah , they could get a good deal. They just pop out so randomly you know? And are gone just as fast. Thing with Model Ms, they may say used but these things can look like new with some good cleaning XD .
I just posted it here cause much better than that $370 one -_- .

^^^The only reason that one is going for $370 is because it's new in box.

$260 seems high to me for what's shown. $160-$190 would be more fair for that SSK

Yeah I think no one should buy it really. If this keeps up these SSK prices will sky rocket.12 People viewing per hour waiting around.
These increasing prices will be a problem since it will affect GH directly more than anyone. Since many times most people here keep their SSK or atleast one and there are some here and there waiting for one and these guys keep skyrocketing prices.

$260 seems too high for the condition it's in. A reasonable price for that board would be $160-200.

If this was in Europe I'd take it ;(

Already sold :)

Wow. If you have an SSK, hold onto it for a few years, I guess. I'll have to hold out for Unicomp to start making them. I hope they are seeing this obvious demand!

****, I might have to flip mine on Ebay. $300 BIN special just for GHers ;)
Wow, we can't say ****?

Isn't this what mkawa's project is all about?

There is a SSK in the classified right now for $220 shipped..........

I was selling one in the classifieds for $167 shipped CONUS, but it ended up selling for 200 shipped the Germany. Deals are around, but you have to get lucky to find them?

I think most people expect to get them cheaper here than what they go for on Ebay. You know, the bro-in-law discount.

I think that people expect to get clean, tested equipment, priced fairly, on Geekhack. If the seller is nice and/or generous, then you may find a good deal.
On ebay, sellers are less likely to know what they have and what it is worth, so there will be wildly overpriced and wildly underpriced gear.
If you are willing to clean, test, and/or repair keyboards, you should buy bargains on ebay and expect to put time into bringing them back up to par. If you want something that requires no effort, buy here.

Yes, or even a bit less. I don't see any characteristic that would increase the value of this particular SSK. Perhaps the date of manufacture was somebody's birthday.
Nine SSKs have been sold on ebay in the last 60 days; six for under $160. Interestingly, this person sold an SSK for exactly the same price ($250.95) on June 30.

I sold one about a month ago for $225 and I recently sold another one (exact same year and part number) for $175.
I'm starting to think that it's more a matter of who buys it and when.
