Sorry to be all whiny about this... but I posted a new thread with some pictures last night and it's been almost 24 hours and it still says "awaiting approval", I assume because my post count isn't high enough yet. But I was anxious to share the pics/info/questions with you guys. Can anyone approve me?

Gosh, I feel so validated. :))
Guess I'll go back to reading Lessons in Electric Circuits (http://openbookproject.net/electricCircuits/DC/index.html) so I know what the hell I'm doing when I put my ErgoDox together and maybe someday I can build my own keyboard from scratch. Pretty informative so far.

I don't know why that thread was flagged for approval. It shouldn't be because of your post count. Might have been the link to bueechi.net.
Sorry about the delay -- the forum software doesn't make it super obvious when there are threads that are waiting on approval (as opposed to, e.g., reported posts, which get a nice big obvious link at the top of the page). For future reference, a PM would have been a much quicker way to get our attention.
One more thing: the images in your thread are ridiculously huge. Please resize them. ;)

Btw, you need zero circuitry knowledge if all you want to do is assemble your ergodox. If you're designing your own from scratch, then that's a different story.
You only need mediocre soldering stills and equipment to build one. Instructions are on massdrop, but I found them be lacking a bit for first-timers, so HERE (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x1irVrAl3Ts&feature=c4-overview-vl&list=PL00EjuPMbgnLdRCyjSPuqaiTo-6bmc9eX) is something more detailed that could be helpful.

Thanks. Yeah I guess what I meant by "know what the hell I'm doing" is like: why am I putting these diodes on here? What is their purpose? How does this circuit work? How does it enable NKRO and what had to be designed specially for that to work? Etc. I guess I just have a curious mind where I want to have an understanding of what I'm doing instead of just following the instructions. I thought this could be a fun way to get introduced to the hobby of electronics.
But yeah I need to learn to solder too. :)
