Hello, my sister broke the keypuller that came with the qfire pro, so i need a new one! I only found them on keyboardco.com, but shipping costs 20£....and thats too much lol. Any other eu store dat has 'em? ty
-
You might have a look through this thread (http://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=45672.0) and see if any of those can offer cheaper shipping.
Or perhaps a generous Geekhack member will come to the rescue?
-
Why not make one yourself? It's pretty easy, you just have to figure out how to make a decent handle.
-
Maybe try keyboardco on Amazon.co.uk? I'm not sure how much shipping would be via that route, or if it's even possible to purchase from Italy (I would think so, as I believe people have purchased from the US before...).
Also, elitekeyboards ships internationally to some countries. Again, not sure if Italy is on that list. But I don't imagine it would be that much just for shipping. And the plus is that Leopold puller is one of the best I've ever used.
-
OP, there are ebay sellers who offer worldwide shipping if you can't find a local reseller.
Saw one that's about 4 Euros buy it now + 5 Euros shipping to IT
-
I second the Leopold!
I just checked on elite keyboards, you can get 2 with shipping for ~$20
-
Maybe you can do it yourself.
See mine in http://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=46003.0

Ty all, seen alot of em, but tbh i don't want to spend "too much" on a key puller lolz. hopefully next kbd ill get will have one, otherwise i'll get the qwerkeys one when i get kcaps too :)
is it good? ty

I just use a butter knife.
-
Most keyboards DON'T come with a keypuller, so I wouldn't expect that. What keyboard are planning to buy next?

That's the fun part. I've turned several on a lathe and made some nice wood handles.
-
If you dont want to spend money, make one out of a thin wire coat hanger.
-
I'll try to make myself one :)

I made this one myself, pretty simple just need some wires. There are plenty of other ways to make this just be creative. :P
-
That's pretty neat, Hyde!
All you'd need is, say, a wooden handle, and no-one would tell them apart!
Edit: OP, have a look here (http://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=46003.msg950487#new) for some inspiration!

All right, can anyone tell me how long the part that goes under the key should be? ty

Don't rely on numbers. Bend it around based on an actual key. It needs to be just large enough to go around, but not larger.

are there any on amazon italy?
I am getting a filco key puller from amazon jp. if you need one I can buy one more and mail it to you. But this takes time, and i have to check on the mail fee though (should be cheaper than that 20 euros LOL).
