Title: New in box piece of crap
Post by: remlap on Sat, 20 July 2013, 06:52:36
Picked up this cheap in box Chinese buckling spring that some here will probably recognise as being f'n awful, only bought due to being new and probably how many of these were destroyed in fits of rage at how bad they are.

Here is a better gallery (http://imgur.com/a/DH79q)

And here is an audio recording of how loud it is (http://audiour.com/playlist/wdh5s4t3)

I had one of those once, with a clear/translucent case. It was not all that terrible, but it was no IBM.

Keys are louder than a Model M13, some of the keys stick and others are easier to press down, utterly inconsistent.

That's actually pretty cool. Some day I'd like to try a non-IBM buckling spring, just to see what it's like.

I've used IBM, Alps and this keyboard style buckling spring. IBM still the best. Alps second.
