Does anyone else own one of these? If so, have you had any issues with it? Mine frequently misses keypresses or is very slow to input them to the PC... The weird thing is I've tried it on another PC and it doesn't appear to have any issues... The main difference is that my PC is on Windows 8 and the other is on Windows 7.
I've also tried it with AquaKeyTest and it doesn't seem to miss keypresses with NumLock off (i.e. it's fine acting as up/down/left/right etc) but with NumLock on it starts having issues. The odd thing is that with NumLock on each keypress seems to be recognised as a series of two presses - one on the key itself and then one on the NumLock key - this seems to have the effect of causing a delay.
If you watch this video you'll see what I'm talking about - after each keypress it says that the last key was NumLock and some keypresses take longer to register than others - the first 7, first 3, second 0 and second . all take longer to recognise than they should.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

I have one of these, but I do not have windows 8. I only have windows 7 and it works fine. :S

mine does the same thing with windows 8 on my work computer although i never noticed it being slow.

Hmmm... I can't decide whether (a) the keypad is faulty, (b) my PC doesn't like it or (c) a combination of both...
badcop - when you say that yours does the same thing can you clarify?
Cheers guys

Thats one of the features of this numpad, it does numlock on/off on keypress as to avoid enabling embedded numpads on laptops and such. So it is doing what it is supposed to do. I'm not sure why there is issue on win8, what chipset does the pc have, do you have the drivers for it and usb installed or using generic microsoft driver? Might be worth trying to install chipset specific usb drivers if you didn't. I don't have this numpad anymore so I can't test to see if it is funny in win8.

mine mimics your video exaclty. it looks like it presses num lock --> 5 --> num lock.

Cheers - at least that should mean that the keypad itself isn't faulty then...

It's a Z87 chipset and I thought I had installed the drivers - I'll double check later on.
Bizarrely I unplugged it from the PC to test it elsewhere again and then couldn't be a***d to plug it back in to the PC again so plugged it into a cheapy USB 2.0 hub (it's a TARDIS :D) and it seems fine now - maybe misses one keypress in 100... Really odd behaviour...

Well the missing keypresses hasn't gone entirely... Does anyone know of a keypad that doesn't do the NumLock - KEY - NumLock combination when you press a key? Preferably one that's easy to get hold of? I'd love a g80-3700 but they're a b***h to get hold of in the UK (well for a sensible price anyway)
