I'm crazy about custom keyboards... Every time I saw a custom keyboard, I'm really tempted to get one.
I don't know why.
Can anyone declare why? hehe

because they are customizable (to a greater extend) or cusomized to what you like.

leds

cases

layouts.

Because no one likes to just go with the status quot we like to be individuals and do our own thing.

everyone wants to be different and unique. plus it gives you a much more personal feel knowing there is probably no other person on the planet with the exact same keyboard. and I guess the feel of achieving something awesome is also there if you successfully modded a keyboard.

Because metal cases are teh smex, and they often offer more convenient modding with their custom plates.

Certain custom keyboards are designed from the ground up for specific switch types. But the main point is you can build your end-game keyboard with it.

People like aesthetically pleasing and unique things.  It gives them something interesting to look at and sets them apart from others.
