Someone may want it.

Tempting...
-
I have one with mx clears I am looking to get rid of. Also brand new.
-
USB connection, eh? NIB, plus the price, makes it an easy choice if someone wants to try a TG3 board!
There are quite a few TG3s on the market at the moment, although the one with MX Clears is now up to $85. Sheesh...
The ones with PS2 connections (and MX Blacks, I think...): http://www.ebay.com/itm/TG3-Electronics-BL82-Series-82-key-LED-Backlit-KeyboaRD-KBA-BL82-5RBIVS-PS2-/230929437364?pt=PCA_Mice_Trackballs&hash=item35c47792b4 (http://www.ebay.com/itm/TG3-Electronics-BL82-Series-82-key-LED-Backlit-KeyboaRD-KBA-BL82-5RBIVS-PS2-/230929437364?pt=PCA_Mice_Trackballs&hash=item35c47792b4)

I came in her expecting to see a 'new' product as in a different design or something...doh!!
Thanks for the link anyways!
This would be good for a spare server keyboard.

San nibs? or do those keys remain the same?
-
These are 2KRO and backlit, correct? Seems crazy cheap considering they are new.
Edit: are these definitely MX Clears?
-
Ray, that's the one I have.

I thought these were blacks??
If they are clears I'll order a few of them
-
There are Blacks and Clears. AFAIK, the Clears don't work because of the voltage required by the board. They're different.

I don't remember if they have them or not, but they are easy enough to ignore.
These are probably cherry MX blacks.

Interesting. These look slightly different than the usual cop car variant on ebay. Are there backlit? The caps look a little different and they don't have the brightness symbols on the arrow keys. I have one of the data 911 variants attached to the htpc and it's just about the ideal keyboard for the job. Compact, decent touch pad, backlighting, splash guard, bomb-proof. I'm tempted to pick up another as a backup just because.

I'm thinking this one is not backlit.
The model number isn't returning anything but notice on the actual keyboard it has has 'nBLT' not 'BLT'...dunno

This is the non-backlit version that has black mx switches; however, TG3 does custom bulk orders that included the clear switches. I have sent a message to the seller to see what kind of switches are in those keyboards.

Perhaps there were lots of messages sent?
Unless these have clears don't think they are worth 70.
-
Wow, this is damn ridiculous.
Not the first time a posting on geekhack has led to prices escalating.
Clears or not, I ain't paying $70 for something with this layout. Was a good deal in the twenties; still a good deal if price rose to the forties; totally not a good deal now.
MODERATOR, CAN I CLOSE THE THREAD? PLEASE LOCK IT, THANKS.

You can lock, just click the little lock icon.

We saw the same pricing pattern with the SkiData boards. Sell them cheap at first, then the next batch were $10 Euros more expensive, then another batch $10 Euros more...
It's just eBay price optimization, but I agree it sucks. Trouble is, once the prices go high, they rarely drop.
The exact same TG3 I bought for $50 (plus shipping) is now $85, so the seller must be getting some nibbles to keep them at that level. I talked to him when I picked up the keyboard (he's local to Virginia) he said he'd just heard about GH, wasn't aware there was this much demand for surplus mechanical boards.
-
Whoa, what's up with the change in key caps? It looks like they switched to SP equipment or something...
-
As the thread starter I am locking this topic because price has tripled and it is no longer a good deal.
Guys, please hold back your enthusiasm. If seller says there is plenty of stock or if auction has 7 days left, don't rush to ask questions. If a seller gets like 10 inquiries within the first day of listing, it'll give him ideas and make him push up prices!
