It has nice colours!
-
yes... but which switch ?
-
I have no idea what switch it uses, but I want one. ;D
Can you proxy for me?
Those keycaps look like one of the forum pics on DT, different colors though.
Edit: After some quick searching, it looks like a Tandberg Data keyboard, usually sold as terminal keyboards with Norsk Data systems:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TDV_2200 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TDV_2200)
I also found a PDF of a Norsk Data terminal user manual, and if the picture on page 52 is correct, the keyboard may have MX-compatible keycaps. I've also seen other references on DT to this brand using foam-and-foil switches, which were pretty common in the 1980s.

Yeah, I bought four of those from the eBay.de seller. :p
Only kept one for myself, and might be interested in a second one, but shipping costs for those slabs of aluminium are crazy. Let me think it over, and I'll let you know by Monday!
You'll get to 60 posts in no time, don't worry.

ok i´m waiting.. .. way, I have all the caps yet .. but the F7 button is broken
you're right .. The keyboard is very heavy ;D

Are you sure? Colors and design are definitely very nice, but it's not a PC-compatible keyboard controller, the switches are unbeknownst to most of mankind, the caps are doubleshot but flat, the layout will be hard to use with a PC, and it's used.
If you still want it and you don't work out anything with foxtrott I can proxy.

I'm afraid you're right. As much as I love the look of those keycaps, knowing they'd take major modification to make them work on MX switches takes a lot of the appeal out of it. :'(
They are beautiful, though...
Has anyone made a converter for this keyboard? Until now I'd never even heard of RAFI switches.

I really like those colours.

rafi switches are the hall effect ones used by cortronics, and others. There are a few keyboards with them on eBay. A surplusser didn't have any luck selling them and recently relisted all his. If you're interested, I can find the link. They were $80-$120 or best offer depending on condition.
you can get rafi hall effect swithces that use a dome for the spring, it's one of the few domes based boards with nkro. there were a few devlin ones that popped up in canada not too long ago that I should have bought but didn't

Some newer versions have ML switches.

These keyboards were made by Tandberg Data A/S and have Siemens STB 21 switches, not RAFIs. Siemens controlled Tandberg Data when these keyboards were made.
