A few of the different function layer keys are not working with Windows 8 for me on my Poker II. The volume keys and the calc key. Has anyone else encountered this issue and resolved it? I couldn't find anything on google.

The volume and calc keys work just fine on my Poker II with my Windows 8 PC. I'm trying to triage another problem with my fiance's 660M...these random keyboard problems can be frustrating...
Have you tried it with another PC?

Anyone? Also function lock doesn't seem to work either... If I press Fn + Shift the light under the spacebar turns on, but all the keys behave normally...isn't that mode supposed to make them behave like their Fn layer counterparts?

Here is the solution that worked for pixel5:
1. Go to the Start menu and search for Run. Press enter key.
2. Type services.msc, and press enter key.
3. Look for the "Human Interface Device Access" service.
5. Right-click it, selected properties, and change the startup type to "Automatic".
6. Reboot computer.

Fox, clearly you don't undestand how the internet works. You're supposed to let me respond to the thread with 'Nevermind, I got it working!' and then lock it. Your post is going to lead to someone solving their problem through a google search in 4 months. What are you thinking.
