Is there any way to modify a PCB mount switch so it can work with a plate mounted keyboard?

Clip off the 2 legs on the bottom

Ah, I did not know there was such a thing. Thanks!

Two other important things:
- You can't go the other way around. Meaning there is no way to convert plate-mounted into PCB-mounted switch
- If the PCB has holes for the plastic pegs, leave those pegs on whether you're using a plate or not.

One more thing: if you're not opposed to this, you could also try opening all the switches, and offering to trade someone for their platemount bottom housings. I know some people are out for PCB mount, and would like to trade.

It's a stickied thread in the Keyboards subforum. Link is here (http://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=40501.0).
