In your OP, you might want to change the word "transparent" from black to another color. You can't read it on nostalgia theme
wow this thing actually happened, I would want a set for my TrixK, actually 100 + add on, but if price is good I might just snag 2 bags of 100 each to mod the QFR. Any info on price?
I wish the bottom would be clear as well. Then we can get creative with SMD LEDs on the PCB.
Respect for making this happen and congrats to the peeps that will jump on it, but since we know the prices now and comparing to that for $65 can be had 110 mx switches + stickers + springs I have to pull back. GL with the GB :)

Although 110 switch covers are probably enough, I do recommend increasing the add-on option by at least one more. Or have options for two types of add-on options. Full-sized Ducky keyboards are 108 keys, which means having only 110 switch covers can be annoying if three of them breaks, or if you forgot to ship a few. But then of course people can just leave one switch with the normal cover and it's not that big of a deal.

Just curious, can we cover the 4 "space" in the corners to reduce the dust coming inside the switch's housing? Is it needed to have those 4 spaces?

I'm somewhat in the same boat, although I'm not sure I'll be adding LEDs, but I just can't get me head to go for these if they don't add anything functionally (No matter how small the difference), given the high price; for me it is almost 4 times the cost of an entire switch.
I would have been on-board without a doubt of it had LED cutouts and a GH logo.
They are $0.22 and blue only. 1400 keyboard with 104 Cherry MX Blue switches

but it is possible to provid customized diagonal plier as parts of packs therefore everyone can MOD by himself or leave it there if he doesn't need that MOD

I am talking to aboStudio and didn't get a clear response, which i guess is a No. I appologize, but really that MOD need an entire new model, which costs more money. i have to say in each 0.25$ there is about 0.2$ for model (if 10000pieces total), a new model will definitly double the price which nobody likes

Ok thanks, that's the type of explanation I was looking for. So, by "model" do you mean modeling and designing it in software? Or do you mean the plastic mold? If it's the former, then I have access to solidworks and willing to put in some time to help with the measurements and model design.

Any answer to my question about if we hit 5000 with the orders still coming in?it is more than 5000 now so i decide to reduce money in the "Other fee" if you get a invoice. Other fee was about 5$ and now everyone has only 1.4$.

I got the tops yesterday in the mail. I was not expecting them this soon so I will start acquiring boxes and invoicing for shipping costs. Actual shipping should start next week. Clear tops were gone before I even put my order in so I settled with red and white.

I got the tops yesterday in the mail. I was not expecting them this soon so I will start acquiring boxes and invoicing for shipping costs. Actual shipping should start next week. Clear tops were gone before I even put my order in so I settled with red and white.
At the moment I am planning to just send in small flat rate boxes because I don't want these to get damaged, the little tabs that hold the top housing to the bottom of the housing is my concern. For the few Canada orders I'll try and use a custom box I have laying around the house so shipping will be considerably cheaper than the flat rate international.
Pictures will come later, I have not had access to the camera from the wife :p

I got every red and white order bagged, and probably 1/3 of the clears bagged. Once everything is bagged the shipping invoices will go out. My goal is to get all the bagging done and start invoicing tomorrow.
Does anyone feel like parting with a handful of transparent switches if you got extras? I ordered a 60% set (70 switches) planning on getting a compact keyboard together, but ended up just investing in a TKL keyboard set instead for 87 backlit switches. So.... If there's any way I could collect 17 missing switch covers, I'd be happy to discuss possibilities.
Everything is bagged I just need to write names on the bags and invoice for shipping. Photoelectric I will give you some of my extra clears since I only plan to do a 60% board.

At this point it is only shipping that is being invoiced for. If someone doesn't pay shipping I will keep asking them and remind them they paid for the goods. I guess with their permission, or an extended enough period of time their money could be refunded and someone else could pick up the order.

See, I messaged him a while ago about this... I told him I could re order, but he said "no i'll get it" or something like that, I dont quite remember. I can pull up the PMI received a bag of clear covers when i ordered red ones.... wtf.
The manifest of orders to people/addresses has you listed as clears so that is what Kinruan sent to me, to proxy to you *shrug*
I do have 81 reds I could swap the clears for if Kinruan can't fix the mix-up but it would not be fair to get 19 fewer switch tops. In the spreadsheet 87 transparent package is next to 87 red package so he could have accidently put a 1 in the wrong square or something along those lines.
EDIT: checked the PM, he told me to make a new order, I asked him if he saw it, he said yes.

Still no update on mine either... I don't mind waiting, I'd just like to know whats up.
I thought I had sent them (international orders) with a large batch of other stuff awhile ago, and just found them in my house when cleaning up after having wood floors installed. I'll be throwing in a couple good novelty keys into each box and mailing them tomorrow in a poor attempt to make up for my stupid mistake.
Also it seems things have slowed a bit for techkeys.us, I have not seen new stuff go up there for awhile, the fancy business cards you can solder switches to and the clear switch covers would both be examples of stuff that could have been listed but have not been yet. Maybe big things are in the works and they are taking priority over these other items.
