Is there a way to disable the fn layer altogether on the kbc poker?
what about replacing the holtek chip? does it use a different chip to the kbc poker 1 and would that one have a better fn layer?
is there a programmable chip that i could replace it with and reprogram with usb?
Thanks.

why would you want to disable the fn layer?

Remove the Fn switch?

Remove the Fn switch?
this is what I was thinking. but by doing this he would have a empty space because you can not attach a keycap without a switch.

Remove the diode for the switch?

I want to change the PN key to be a "Hyper key", or just reprogram the function layer.
Maybe low profile mx keys would prevent accidently hitting an fn key, but I don't really want to activate a mode by accident, i'm fine with doing fn+another key (which is more purposeful)
but hitting a combo that put's it into a mode I don't have a clue off is a no-no.
maybe i got the wrong keyboard :D
i want to also disable the fn layer so that I can reprogram it in the OS to my liking. so some kind of no thrills replacement chip which just sends a keycode for each key would be cool.
