Selling my Model M, it's just too big for my setup. It comes with the original box. It's in fantastic shape, everything works.
Looking for $80+shipping for it (CONUS GREATLY preferred).
Sorry for the ****ty pics, will try to get home at a better time tomorrow and pull out the camera while there's still sunlight.

Very nice. Good luck with your sale!

How much would it cost to have it shipped to Sydney?

The USPS Priority Mail Flat Rate Game Board box is $78
OP - your vintage is about the transition time for wire stabilizers and heavy plate. if it has them, you should say so.

You can fit a Model M in the original box in one of those? The USPS posted dimensions are 3 inches for the board game box whereas the IBM box is 4 inches.
Unfortunately, the board has wire stabs.
KB is currently pending sale.

I PMed you about the box. I missed the part about the original packaging.
There is nothing wrong with the wire stabilizers. I have never decided whether I like them better, and you can also change them out at any time by slipping the inserts into the barrels (aka "chimneys"). If anything, they are less common and hence may be more valuable.
Yours looks like a wonderful specimen. The original box and packaging should add at least $20 to the price.

I was thinking about bolt-modding and selling a Model M I have sitting around, but now I don't think I will.
Considering all the meaningless chatter recently from people claiming to not being able to get a good original Model M, I can see that it was complete bullsh!t. This forum has a lot of people blowing hot air, that's for sure.
Your ad has languished now for at least a week, any one of those complainers would have pounced on it in a heartbeat if they were serious.

Only M I'll buy now is a Birthday M (MFR 1/25/95) as I've already got myself one. If someone is looking to get a reliable board that will never fail, this board for sale here is the best possible choice you could make. Great item, great price, GLWS :)

Had a buyer, he stopped responding, shrug, I won't lose too much sleep if I end up keeping it :)

Wonder why nobody already bought it... Looks nice and clean, Model from the late 80s (I like those), ansi-layout, label on the bottom completely intact and not yellowed and it has its ORIGINAL box!!! It can only increase in value...
Maybe you should add some pics of the box.
GLWS! (or just keep it... I personally wouldn't sell it)

Yea, that was rather dumb on my part to not include a pic of the box. Today was going to be my last bump so I'm not going to bother this time.

If you don't need the money, today, then just sit on it until you see a thread where somebody is saying something like:
"Oh woe is me, I can't find a really nice original IBM Model M at a reasonable price"
and send him a PM with an offer to sell at $100 shipped.
Dare him to find a similar product in original box at that price, and tell him that you will wait.

would you be willing to reserve it for a week for me? i was on a spending spree last week and i'd like to have a break.
