yeah, I should have mentioned that. I take it that the model m minis are expensive because they are harder to get?
I check in with clicky keyboards from time to time and this is the first time I have seen a mini for sale there. Even at 140 I don't think it will be available for long.

what  a story. what a pain....
I have not bought from clicky keyboards but have purchased from Unicomp. Unicomp has been a positive experience.
I got some model m's and a couple of mini's off of ebay and have been very satisfied. Maybe I got lucky.

I got my Model M mini from clickeykeyboards about a year ago, and there is nothing at all wrong with it. It works fabulously and is my main board.

If I ever see another on that site it's gone!

Too bad I missed this one :)

Of course after reading imav's posting, maybe I was just exceptionally lucky. It was $120, no stains, no sticking, hell it looks new :)

I got 2 model m minis off of ebay.
 I gave one away and am typing on one as we speak( both mini's were fine keyboards, btw). I have had good luck I suppose. I could see where a person could have a bad experience though.

I bought both my Ms from ClickyKeyboards, and I have been very happy with them.  I was missing one of the keycaps on one of them, and they had a replacement in to me in two days. Both work great and are in service right now (one on my home PC, one on my laptop docking station at work and my Evolution on my uber-rig main PC at work).

Glad to hear it since I bought the Model M spacesaver from Clickykeyboards. I asked to be notified about the availability of a spacesaver about six months ago and they finally emailed me. There was a second one as well that was mint in box that vanished before I got to check my email - it was sitting in my spambox. I will let you know when it arrives... I am hoping it will arrive in working order with no mis-haps or returns needed.

I finally gave up on getting one on Ebay -- I was unable to bid at the last minute and I kept losing out on the ones I saw.

Congrats!  I know you've been wanting one for a while...so glad to hear you will soon have one.

The good thing about ClickyKeyboards is that they will make things right if something is wrong.  I've purchased several Model M mini's off of eBay for steals...but it is mostly when they miss categorize them (you can find those diamonds in the rough all day...but it takes time)

Look forward to hearing your thoughts on the 'board.

85 dollars is not too bad.... I paid 75 and 125 for the 2 mini's I got off of ebay....The mini's are hard to score, consider yourself lucky.

I picked up two Model M mini's from the same seller for around $35 each not too long ago (seller was cleaning out the house of a recently deceased relative).  After a good cleaning, they were both as good as new.  

Deals are out there.  You just have to have patience.

RecycledGoods.com is awfully proud of the stuff they're selling.  Things like vintage keyboards grow in value as they still have use.  Other things, like 386 PCs, shouldn't be priced at $300 since there is not much value in an old 386 PC even if it is a Wang. :)  I can see where "revolutionary" hardware, like the original Mac, might have a high price in good, even working, condition, but a lot of the stuff on there is just old crap.

Is that the place I remember that wants like $2000 for an Apple II, when everyone else sells them for $200 or so, and you can even get a new replica Apple II Rev 0 motherboard for $600?
