Topre combines high tactility and smoothness. Don't think anything else does.

mechanical switches please :D not topre

You are going to get a lot of opinions and "this switch is better than that" with a question like that.
I'll start of with MX blues, or greens if you prefer stiffer springs.

The smoothest feeling tactile Cherry switches are MX Brown and MX Clear since they have a tactile bump instead of a click.
MX Clear has higher tactility than MX Brown.

Heretic!
But ergo clears (I've only used 62g) can be decently smooth (at least when lubed), and have a nice "clunky" tactile feel to them.
The various clicky alps (though I've only used complicated blues for any length of time) are quite nice as well (if you're okay with the slightly wobbly key feel that alps has). They also sound way better than MX blues/greens IMO
Buckling spring can be good too, but it's not my cup of tea (sorry!)

Only Tactile don't clicky with

How do you want to mod them?
-
MX Clears> MX Browns
from experience
i love the clear bump so much :D
don't necessarily listen to what others have to say, some say ergo clears pronounce the bump, but you have to try both of them to decide
i dont think it does, it feels more defined on stock clears
People say topre is tactile but from what i felt, it was just mushy...pretty boring..
have yet to try mx greys however :o

I tried out clears for the first time this past weekend on one of Halverson's pokers and I loved them. They're going to be the next switch I buy and will go into my phantom when I build it. I'm thinking they'll become my favorite switch type in the end. Then I'll definitely need to get a hakko 808 and change my LZ-GH to clears. Not going to use my solder sucker on that pcb with that many LEDs. no sir. No way.

How do you want to mod them?
impossible topre for mod
sure expensive

Just because you don't know how to modify something, doesn't mean it's impossible. There are many modifications you can do to many keyboards.

I Know, but the point is, just by buying the switch without keyboard ^-^

It isn't just that...People who haven't used it think so....
Not saying Topre is better either..and while it does have rubber dome and shares many characteristics of a normal rubber dome..it is also vastly different in feel, quality, etc..

Razer tarantula RD use PCB not membrane

yes topre indeed good ;D or indeed ruber dome more better on tactile than mechanical switches?
but also search good tactile mechanical switches like cherry, alps,or old switch etc for mod, changing spring, steam.etc :p

Brown and clear are the only tactile non clicky there are for cherry

Buckling spring >> blue switch >> brown switch

Reppin Ergo-Clear.

Quiet Matias switches are quite nice!
