Do any of you know if I can get an extended spacebar as seen on the Steelseries Apex? It would make typing and gaming much more comfortable for me as I naturally end up having my thumb rest below the spacebar.
-
I have never seen such a spacebar for a mech and doubt that it exists. It also wouldn't fit in a normal case (GON's cases would work though, also that Pure CNC case that is kind of similar).

Gigabyte do one. http://www.gigabyte.us/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4179#ov
But as said earlier you wouldn't be able to use it on another keyboard unless you built a custom case.

You can glue a piece of plastic, metal, or cardboard on to your spacebar. That way it will extend as much as you want. You can probably even use it as a wrist rest spacebar, if you made it big enough.
-
Your best bet would probably be to have one milled out of titanium as new plastic molds are like a few grand. You could probably get Hammer to do it, it wont be cheap but it'll be beautiful.

Necro-ing this thread...
Someone really needs to make an MX keycap in the same dimensions (2.5x1.5u) as the Matias ErgoPro spacebar, so that new-layout keyboards can use that shape with both MX and Alps switch compatibility.
Spacebars on standard keyboards are about 1/2u too close to the letter keys, but nobody wants a keyboard with an awkward 1/2u gap between keys.
