This on my short list of dream keyboards. This and the Model M15. It's too bad that every time they sell, it's for about $400. I have one of my dream 'boards, though, in the Evolution. For Xmas, I am getting another Evolution, then I am going to stop with the Keyboard Mania. The ergo 'boards, which I love so much, cost too damn much for me.

Prices for the Cherry are collapsing here in Germany.
The last one went for Euro 25 something. If I hadn't bid on it, the winner would have got it for Euro 3.

I was only returning the favor. ;) When I was in Little League and High School I was taught to keep my wrists straight while batting, so I just practice what was I taught in typing. Who knew baseball and typing were so similar? :)

I wish that were the case here. When I checked the auction this morning, it was already up to $103.

It sold for $405.

I wonder how much mine would get because that one had missing feet and no number keypad ... :)

I HAVE to know - I stumbled across one of these keyboards (Cherry model G80-5000HPMUS made in Germany) for my own use. I needed a small footprint keyboard to fit my desk. Yes, it's amazingly comfy and fast to type on but, holy cow! Why do they sell for so much? The one I found is absolutely immaculate too. Still had the plastic wrap on the KB cable (PS/2). Can someone give me a rundown on this bad boy? It splits down the center allowing for ergo-adjustments, has 4 prop feet, etc.

Tactile, spacesaver (numpadless) keyboards are very hard to come by. Model M (84-key) spacesavers regularly go for $150-200 used. New Filco "minis" are pricy as well.
Now, take those coveted features and add another rare and coveted feature...split, ergonomic adjustment. THAT explains the crazy pricing.
BTW, welcome to geekhack!

It's a small ergonomic keyboard with good switches, like the M15.
The question is, why is the Apple Adjustable worth next to nothing?

Good switches might be the key. I've got 4 of them, all have had a key switch fail.

And they (Apple Adjustable) type like crap. I have a feeling the Cherry and IBM ergos are better made and we all know they don't type or feel like crap, plus they might be a little more rare than the Apple model.
