Heya, just joined up today, been a frequent lurker for a while. Now though i need your help as im looking for a backlight 60% keyboard with dedicated arrow keys. I've looked for a while and only found the KBT Pure Pro. I would just buy this but i would like to know how easy it would be to customize? Thanks!
-
What do you mean by "customize"?
You want to replace the keycaps? Or mod it to have different LEDs? Or swap the case? Or reprogram the layout?
-
Hi sorry yea im just a beginner i mean just getting replacement key caps.
-
Can't find an ANSI layout (I'm not sure what layout you're looking for) but it's going to be a mess to try and replace those caps.

If you look at the link, it's all 1x caps in the bottom right and there's no sets with the proper profile. Ever look into 75% boards like the KBT Race or MX Mini?
-
ahh i had not considered 75% before, they look good, which one would you recommend? I need back lighting and the ability to easily change key caps would be brilliant. Thanks again.

Part of Qtang's Note:
Pure Pro set for geekhack order. It is sold as a Full set of caps, do not ask just party of the set, thanks.
Please notice that although I am using the Poker 2 picture for Pure, the color is the same, all order is full set of replacement caps, 61 for poker and 67 for Pure.

Thanks for that link, althought the pictures seem to show the pure without the dedicated arrow keys.

The 75% boards I like will be expensive or not have backlighting. They'll also have weird layouts on the caps so you won't be able to swap them.
I have an Epsilon and a Siig Minitouch. I'd recommend an MX Mini but its expensive for a beginner and I'm not sure it has backlighting.
I forgot, that the Filco Minila is out too which should have an easily replaceable keycap set.

I have some money saved up so i dont mind if its expensive and i can live without backlighting, i just really want i small sized keyboard either 60 or 75% thats really easy to change keycaps with. Thanks again for your help!

Qtang also sells the Pure Pro keyboard, an all white ANSI version, but it does not have backlighting. As yet, I don't think that there is a Pure Pro ANSI version with backlighting:

mechanicalkeyboards.com does have some Keycool 84s with backlighting, but I'm not sure how easy it would be to find replacement keycaps.
Go through the following page:
