Title: Is there a way to restore original key cap coating
Post by: Inertially on Sun, 11 August 2013, 02:33:28
After some use, the matte textured coating on key caps wears off.
So, the keys then look dark/smooth/shiny.  They also feel sticky/terrible.

Is there a way to restore the original finish?
Anyone know what the coating is?

The inevitable ABS keycap shine.  There isn't really, you'd just replace the keycaps with new ones to get uniform colour and texture across the board.

Or go PBT, which has a slight texture, and also resists shining for considerably longer.
