Just making the obligatory Hello, Everyone! post. Which happens on every new forum ever, but hi!

/r/MechanicalKeyboards is responsible for my conversion to the Mechanical Master Race, and they've indirectly directed me over here. I'm still stuck with my old membrane board, but will be ordering a Ducky Pro (Cherry MX Browns) with the PBT keys soon. :)

Looking forward to immersing myself in the company of others who share this strange, delightful obsession. :)

I'm not actually a programmer - I'm an illustrator and voice actress. But I'm also a kinaesthete, and this kind of keyboard upgrade sounds just up my alley.

Haven't ordered my first mechanical yet, and now I've heard about the Corsair K70 with Cherry Browns, and I'm tempted to wait for that instead of jumping at the Ducky. Plus for Corsair: Dedicated media buttons, which is nice because I listen to a ton of audiobooks while I'm painting. Plus for Ducky: PBT, which will wear better and be awesome on my fingers. Difficult decisions!!

Welcome! Have you voice acted in anything we might have seen or heard? You don't have to be too specific if you don't want to.

As to your board choice, personally I'd recommend the Ducky. But this is Geek Hack, so you'll probably end up with both, sooner or later. :p
