Title: disassembling a filco?
Post by: djones on Tue, 11 November 2008, 22:00:47
How do you take apart a filco? I have a Japanese 10 key-less model which I spilled some liquids on and I want to on it up completely to dry. there's only one screw in the back which I removed but the damn thing refuses to open... is there a trick to pry it open?

It sounds like the case is a snap-together design. Sometimes there are subtle differences in the molding where the snaps are.

Are all Filco like this? Having screws makes it more serviceable in my opinion.

I found some pictures of the back of the FKBN87ML/EB. You could try removing the rubber feet, there might be screws underneath.
