Title: oh my
Post by: sylfki on Sun, 18 August 2013, 15:46:04
I used to lurk these boards pretty hard back in 2010. Did the mechanical keyboard scene explode in the past 3 years or what? So many new models now!

I currently own:

Previously owned:

I have an Ultra Classic in the mail to replace the old Customizer. Aaaand I technically also own a 1987 Model M and some kind of board with blue Alps (??), but my depressed self put them in the garage a couple years ago and now I can't find them and I could just kick myself. I miss having a proper arsenal of keyboards. The Filco had to go because I can't live without my numpad, and the Das is in dire need of printed keycaps for non-alpha keys. The Deck has been my daily driver for a while now. I've tired of the black switches, so I am excited to have buckling springs back in rotation.

Next expenditure: new keycaps for the Das OR a board with Cherry MX Greens?

The options have exponentially increased in the last few years.  At this rate members will soon be developing their own double-shot tooling.

There actually aren't that many new models.  It's just that there seems to be greater availability and wider distribution of the ones that were already around.  I guess the relatively new player is Leopold, which has really come to the fore in the last 3 years.

Anyway, Welcome to GH.
