I'm thinking about selling my model M and getting something with cherry or ALPS switches... I just need you guys to tell me the value of this board... It's a 1990 Model M 1391401, almost perfect condition, has the long detachable cable, gray logo, detachable keycaps, no yellowing, manufactured January 29, 1990. I don't think I have any decent pictures of it, so here's a pic of my desk with it:

check out ebay. I have seen model m's from 25 to 50 dollars.

I'll just say that the most I've ever paid for a Model M (not an M13 or anything made by Unicomp, mind you) is $4.99. ;)
That might have something to do with the fact that I've gotten all of my Model Ms at Goodwill or Salvation Army. ;)
But, that $25-50 estimate is probably good...
I did pass on a (Lexmark) Model M that I saw on eBay for $20, with $13 shipping, though... and it was Dell branded.

I have been in some Goodwills here in Pinellas, Fl and have never seen a model m keyboard there. I am thinking they are more common in certain parts of the country?

Well, last one I got was a couple years ago...

Still, 4.99 is a smoking deal. I had to get my model m's off of ebay. I am not complaining though, I like what I got and the Unicomps are nice too. But I can't beat 4.99.

Last four I bought on ebay were for Euro 1,- each plus shipping. But that takes time.
