I have a question for those that have tried more keyboards than I, especially Ducky's.
The first board I ever bought was a first generation Ducky shinning, and I have yet to find a board that types as nice.
I have bought (and given away) a Filco, Das, KBT, Gren...? (an inexpensive gaming type board), as well as tried and/or bought/sold various boards with different switches, yet I have not found any that feel nearly as good as the old Ducky. (I'm also an old guy, so the old buckling spring boards were virtually all that was available in the beginning of the computer age, and in my opinion there is good reason why they were eventually discontinued (very noisy with no real "feel").
My questions are, Do the newer Ducky's with Blues feel as nice as the old ones?
Why do different boards feel so different from the old Ducky even though they all used Blues? --- The non Ducky boards all feel similar to each other, regardless of stabilizers, but don't feel quite like the Ducky.
I only ask because I have decided to replace the rubber dome boards in my office with Blues, and everyone wants the Ducky.
I'm not against buying used, but the old "shinning" boards seldom come up for sale, so is there something that is close to it that is readily available?

And all boards will feel different even if there is the same switch. Reasons include different materials, thickness of the plate, material density, and switch batch.

any board with a solid plate and nice aluminum case will feel like the bees knees. also dont forget caps, they can make a huge difference.
while all boards feel slightly different sometimes we find ourselves nostalgic about certain keyboards.
also no board made by ducky has ever been called "ducky shining" that i know of. so get us a real model and we can make suggestions.

First, let me apologize for the spelling mistake (Shining, NOT Shinning). I tried to fix it after I posted but to no avail.
Second, Shining is correct for the first version not Shine. I hope that those that know these old boards will help me with my questions. It's still my favorite even though it always finds it's way onto someone else's desk.

You haven't heard of the Shinning? It's like the Shining, except different to avoid getting sued.

I'm pretty young, but I don't ask dumb questions; I just make a lot of useless spam. Not as much as spamray, but still a lot.

Ducky Shine keyboards have a different feel from other keyboards that are not backlit because of 1. really good construction, 2. Shine caps are softer and really change the feel of any switches I've used them on, and 3. LEDs through switches really add a bit of extra stability and I think dampening. I've not found anything that feels as good as Ducky Shine keyboards either, and I've tried a few different Filcos by now as well as a QFR and CM Storm Triggers. I think the feel of Blues will be similar if not the same on Shine II and Shine III compared to yours.

Work a new keyboard im for a few years and it will feel just as good probably.

I have two Ducky Shine version 1, both with MX blues (one with red and one with green LEDs), and they feel different.
The one with reds is as smooth and consistent as - a great board.
The one with greens is maybe one of the last made, the switches are not as consistent, one or two don't click all the time, and the typing feeling is not just as good.
