I ask here
What do you like (prefer) Staggering?
List:
Old Classic Typewriter/Asymetric Stagger:Almost all keyboards Filco,CM QFR.etc
Syemmtric Stagger: MTron,Old NEC Keyboard
Columnar Layout/Column-Staggered: Ergo Dox,Old PC NEC Keyboard,Flat Maltron
Matrix Layout/Ortho Linear: TypeMatrix
I prefer column and Syemmetric stagger :thumb:

Staggered isn't SO BAD, in split configuration because you can turn it such that the keys are more/less straight down columns. HOWEVER, since we can make REAL columns... WHY torture oneself further.

but symmetric staggered has its own way to reach every key on the finger more easily, see Utron style(It can only be used in on symmetric split keyboard)

Column. Even if symmetric staggering has similar ergonomics it makes embedded numpads impractical and embedded arrows less usable. Column is both ergonomic and adaptable to secondary keyboard uses.

Column/Matrix by leaps and bounds
