Opinion of these, preferably from someone who has purchased them?

I believe many people prefer IMSTO thick pbt caps which are like $80-90 but vortex are decent for the price

Thanks for the info...  Since I want 2 or 3 sets, think I'll stick with the Vortex.

Have you tried doubleshot abs? If you need 2-3 sets why not experiment than putting all your eggs in one basket. :) just hoping to help a bit.. Thin PBT is actually a worse feeling than ABS sometimes..

Thanks, I appreciate your help.  Since I want Blank or Black on Black PBT Keycaps on the boards which caps I am replacing, I really don't have a lot of choice.  At first I wanted White on Black, but this is unavailable in PBT or POM.  In an earlier thread, I asked about Signature Plastics ABS Doubleshots, but was told to keep away.

So, I decided to try an experiment.  Ordered a bunch of Filco parts for my Filco keyboards (from The Keyboard Co.).  Included is a blank set of Filco keycaps and a package of o-rings.  Want to see if this will make the Filco feel better, and less clackey.

I just got my Vortex keycaps a few days ago and I must say that I really like their look!
Unfortunately my keyboard hasn't arrived yet, so I can't say anything about the feeling when you type.
The only bad thing I noticed to this point is a little bump on the rear side of each key:

But since it is on the back, you probably won't notice it.
But a blank set is also pretty cool!  ;)

They're called "spruce marks", from the mold, and Vortex seems to be infamous for them.  I have them on a couple of mini sets of PBTs of theirs (a Poker X and a Pure).  They're not a sign of anything wrong with the keycap, and, like you say, they're on the rear of the keycap and can't be seen, but Vortex really ought to clean up their act and/or molds.

Those spruce marks are so common--even Filco Ninja caps have them, and Filco's considered to be a "high end" brand :)  All of my keycaps have them, including Ducky Shine caps and others (except for metal keycaps).

For black on black dye sub caps, you really don't have many options anyway--thick dye sub PBT does not come in that option, I believe.  So those Vortex caps are a good option if that's the scheme you're looking for.

Ducky Shine sprue marks are cool because there are little pin=points of light shining out the back of the keycaps :)
