Title: Ducky Shine 3 Reactive Mode
Post by: dman777 on Mon, 02 September 2013, 10:35:48
In Reactive mode on my Ducky Shine 3(Orange LED) I am not able to get the cool strobe effect that this guy is getting:

Is it because I have orange LED's and not blue LED's? Or is there a a special way to make it?
Here is mine:

That's just the quality of his camera.  Sorry dude - the camera is probably shooting 30 fps, and LED's flash 60 times a second or more.  If you're really desperate, get a crappy webcam, strap it to your head, and put a monitor in front of your KB.

Dman,

Do you think the Shine 3 is a worthy upgrade over a DAS KB ? The lighting is cool, I was considering the same color as yours. Does it have switchable polling rates? The manufacturer website is down, I tried looking more in dept.

Thanks,
ReT

That has to do with his camera.  Reactive mode Backlights don't strobe like that :)
You can notice similar things when recording images on something like a lightboost 3d monitor, too, if you don't have high enough response/frame rate on the cam.
