Hi guys, was wondering about the circuitry of vortex.,.. anybody mod-ed their ONI KBT with LED?
would like to see a picture of it , how it turned out :)
does multi-colour works? ( eg : F1~F9 yellow, alphabets white )
I'm afraid about i'm not able to achieve equal brightness if I'm going for multi-colour LED modding.

The LED-less version cannot be modded. It is missing the LED controller.

Does the pcb have the led holes?

there's LED hole there... whats LED controller? to control the brightness?
what if Im willing to settle down with a constant brightness?
forgive me, i'm new to MKBs , just joined the community :)

Maybe if you figure out the circuit, you could possibly just give the leds power, but they'd always be on.
-
LED controller is just an IC that controls the LEDs. Unlikely you'll be able to get enough brightness if you wired it up and constant current to power the LEDs. You will be limited to 500mA @ 5v from USB.

handwired with resistor,cable,etc

will that voltage limit results in a bad lighting appearance? o_o
would like to see a mod-ed ONI KBT.. any knowledge about anyone already mod-ed theirs? :)
