Me too. I've always hated it.

The real problem with this method is dabbing the tuna on the keys to get the cat started.

Last year one of our cats puked on the keyboard of the old computer downstairs.  Fortunately, it was a cheapo Dell rubber-dome and I just took it out back and tossed it in the garbage bin. (The keyboard, not the cat.) It was weirdly satisfying.  I dunno what I'd do if one of 'em threw up on my 1391401.

Take it apart, remove all the keys, clean the surface, wash the keys, and you're done.

Clean the keyboard, then give the cat a nice, long, bath. rumor has it they love that.

My baby defiled a broken M2, and it's now his favorite toy. Must make him feel like daddy, just clicking away.

I saw these wipe clean keyboards in the hospital today. I only got a chance to press a few keys though. They were surprisingly soft feeling, probably membrane:

Looks like a good way to kill your cat.  I'd never let even an animal eat the dirt from inside a keyboard.  Thankfully mine isn't in that much of a state.  And I don't have a cat :(

 I hope I didn't break anything (or catch (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-1026739/Keyboard-warns-users-dirty-banish-hospital-superbugs.html) anything; it was flashing at the time).
